The Atlantic reports that the last typewriter factory in the world will close it’s doors.
It bears a wee bit ‘o nostalgia for me. I first learned to type on an old typewriter my dad owned. I don’t remember the make. But I do remember the fun I had overtyping to make bold words. It was a nifty machine. My son will probably never know what it’s like to have to type carefully because the backspace key doesn’t delete what’s under the carriage.
Now I’m feeling old.
