App Store Trademark: What Goes Around Comes Around

It didn’t take long, but Microsoft and others are filing complaints about Apple’s “App Store” trademark. Like we needed more evidence of our messed up intellectual property laws on the heels of the lawsuits toward indie devs on in app purchases.

If there was any company that didn’t need to flex it’s legal muscles over generic minutiae, it’s Apple. The company is profitable, innovative, and a leader in customer service. What are they trying to prove by pushing so hard for this trademark? Doesn’t this make them look like scared bullies?
