It didn’t take long, but Microsoft and others are filing complaints
about Apple’s “App Store” trademark. Like we needed more evidence of our messed
up intellectual property laws on the heels of the lawsuits toward indie
devs on in app purchases.
If there was any company that didn’t need to flex it’s legal muscles over
generic minutiae, it’s Apple. The company is profitable, innovative, and a
leader in customer service. What are they trying to prove by pushing so hard
for this trademark? Doesn’t this make them look like scared bullies?
