SQLite's Atomic Magic Tricks...I Mean, Illusions

Given the recent interest in the file format of Acorn, I thought I’d link to this excellent article by the SQLite team on how they achieve the illusions of atomic commits using just the file system across all the operating systems they support. It’s a pretty straightforward read for a complex topic and spells out the excellent architectural forethought that makes SQLite so robust.
