Speaking of security, Passware claims to have new software that breaks into OSX through the Firewire port. Even if the screen is locked, they claim that merely plugging in another machine running this software will divulge the password and get you in—if a Mac is on, it’s p0wnable.
I’m surprised tech sites like Ars Technica haven’t commented on this. It may just be a company trying to sell digital snake oil and prey on people’s security fears. But it’s pretty freaky if true.
